Thousands of people come to Las Vegas every day looking for some fun and excitement. Being known as “Sin City”, it’s no surprise some of those people are guys looking to get lucky in Vegas, and not just when it comes to gambling.
For some, that means hitting up a cheap Vegas strip club for some quick thrills. For others, that means meeting a casino girl or escort for a wild romp back in the hotel room at the end of the night.
However, doing this can be risky and you can easily end up with more than you bargained for. Guys get robbed by escorts all the time in Vegas, and there have even been a few high-profile cases where a guy was murdered by escorts he brought back to his room.
But for those who want to give it a shot, I’ve compiled some tips I’ve learned over many years that will keep you as safe as possible when picking up girls around Vegas.
Red Flag #1: She’s texting excessively While You’re Setting Things Up
Everybody is on their phones constantly, so this one is easy to miss since texting can look totally normal. But when it comes to escorts, texting can be a sign you’re about to be set up for a robbery or something worse.
If you’re talking to an escort and finalizing whatever details you’ve discussed, if she starts texting suddenly when you’re both on your way to the hotel room, that’s a bad sign. She could be texting the hotel room number or other details to her pimp or accomplice who will then knock on your door and demand money.
One way to check if the escort is just sending an innocent text or not is to distract her so she puts her phone away. If she refuses to put her phone away and she keeps texting, there’s something shady going on.
A real escort who just wants to deliver a service will put her phone away so she doesn’t lose the potential client. If the escort keeps texting, she’s up to something.

Red Flag #2: Two Girls Are More Dangerous Than One
Every guy has a fantasy about two girls at the same time, but when it comes to Vegas, it’s sometimes dangerous. Escorts that work together and try to get you to hire them both are much more likely to pull some scam or even a robbery.
When the escort is there with her friend, they both have more confidence to pull something off.
This is especially true for girls who walk the casino floor together. If two girls approach you in a casino and claim to work together, there’s a good chance they’ve pulled off plenty of scams and robberies in the past.
On Vegas escort sites, the option to hire a “duo” is a little safer, so try that if you want less risk.
Tip 3: She Immediately Wants to Go to Your Room
If you meet an escort and start talking, she’s going to ask you if you want to go back to your room. That’s a given. But if the girl is extremely pushy about it or starts with that, she’s likely going to scam you.
Regular non-scamming escorts who just want to provide a service will usually talk to you for a few minutes to get a feel for things. They’ll even have a drink with you as you sit and chat before she mentions going back to your room. She’s also trying to get a feel for you and what type of guy you are.
This generally means she plans on going through with things normally and not pulling some kind of scam.
If a girl immediately asks to go back to your room, it means she likely doesn’t plan on following through and will either upsell you or steal the money.
Real escorts are just as cautious as you might be. If they’re pushy, they have other methods for making money in mind and it’s not good.l
Red Flag #4: She Goes Into The Bathroom For a Long Time
This can happen after you’ve already agreed on all the details and return to your room. If she goes into the bathroom immediately and it’s taking a while or seems strange, there could be something fishy going on.
For one, she could be texting someone who is on the scam, like her pimp or boyfriend. They can even make voice calls in there and you can hear what’s going on.
Second, this can be a ploy where she wastes time so the guy loses interest. She then asks for more money (upsell) to continue the evening. By this time, the guy is irritated and just tells her to leave. So the escort gets her original money without doing anything.
Red Flag #5: There’s A Suspicious Guy Around
You probably think if a suspicious guy is hanging around, you’ll notice him. But when a hot girl approaches you in a casino and starts flirting with you, it’s easy to miss a lot of things.
If a girl approaches you at a casino or casino bar and starts chatting you up for a date, check around to see if there’s a guy who is watching. He may be at the bar by himself and glancing over.
The same goes if you decide to walk off with the girl. Take a quick look around to see if any guy also gets up and walks behind you.
I’ve been in Vegas a long time and you would think pimps would be easy to spot. But I’ve seen guys from out of town talking to escorts and being completely oblivious that the girl’s pimp is two chairs over at the same bar.
That doesn’t always mean you’ll get scammed or robbed. But the chances are much higher if the pimp is keeping tabs on the girl, and you might be getting set up.
Be Safe Out There In Vegas Casinos
You can have a lot of fun in Vegas and I’m not telling anyone what to do or what not to do. This is all just information so you can use it as you see fit. The final decision is always up to you.
But just remember, there’s a whole economy in Vegas set up around trying to scam tourists out of their money. The big casinos do it and so do the street hustlers.
It’s just in Vegs, the street hustlers are sometimes dressed up like runway models.
