It may seem strange to end up dating a stripper, but it can happen pretty easily. When you really think about it, the situation makes total sense. If a guy enjoys strip clubs and the girl is a stripper, it’s not that unusual they may end up getting along pretty well.
It’s like if a girl likes music and a guy she meets is a musician, there’s a good chance there might be a spark there.
Over the years, a few strippers I’ve met have turned into girlfriends. But it definitely has its ups and downs depending on what you’re looking for.
To help you guys out, here are my experiences when dating a stripper and what to expect, both good and bad.
All Their Friends Are Strippers
This one is both good and bad.
Every stripper I know, and also the ones I have dated all have stripper friends. They rarely have non-stripper friends, or at least not that they hang out with.
On the plus side, this means when you go out you can often end up with a car full of strippers as you hop from bar to bar. This can definitely make you look like a boss when you walk into a place with 5 girls dressed like strippers. Yes, strippers dress like strippers everywhere they go, at least in my experience.
The downside is that strippers can be impulsive, jealous, and catty. I can’t even count how many times a fun night turned into some crazy fight and some crazy situation.
So even though dating a stripper and hanging out with her friends can be cool, the drama is off the charts and it can get old and even get you into trouble if they instigate fights or other things inside of a bar.
For example, I was out with a stripper I was dating and one of her friends started a fight with a group of guys at a local hookah bar. Of course, now I’m involved because the girl was technically with me.
It got loud and we ended up in the parking lot once the bouncers kicked us all out. Nothing happened in the end, but it was a sketchy situation.
Is It A Sugar Baby/Sugar Daddy Relationship?
Not always. With the strippers I dated I never paid a set amount of money to them or had any arrangement to pay certain bills. They were all girls I got to know through a strip club and then we just started hanging out when not at the club.
I would pay for everything when we would go out, but that was no different than most relationships. I would occasionally give the girls money, but not in a sugar daddy type of way.
One solid piece of advice I would give is that if the relationship starts out as some kind of sugar daddy situation, it’s not worth pursuing. The stripper should just meet you outside of the club on her own without some specific transaction in place.
If you want to give her money to meet you outside the club, go ahead and do that. But if it starts like that, it never has any actual relationship behind it. Yes, I understand dating a stripper isn’t meant to be a serious relationship, but there can be a friendship there beneath the other stuff. But if you start with paying to meet outside the club, it’s just totally transactional in the stripper’s mind.
Her first meeting with you outside the club needs to be without money involved. That’s always been my rule.
When The Relationship Fizzles Out, It Becomes Transactional
When the stripper is no longer interested, she won’t just move on like a regular girlfriend or break up with you. Generally, they’ll switch gears and just try to milk you for money once she is no longer interested.
This is something to watch out for and just understand it’s normal. Dating a stripper isn’t something that lasts. So when it starts to fizzle out, just let it go. If you hold on or try to keep it going, it just gets worse.
It’s like the old “summer fling” type of relationship. It’s not meant to last. Have your fun but let it go when it’s winding down. You’ll be happier and the girl won’t mind either. You can even separate on good terms if you do this.
Trust me, there are always other girls.
Jealousy Can Happen On Both Sides
If the stripper is still working at a club while you date her, you can end up with jealousy on both sides. I’ve had strippers get jealous of what I’m doing while she’s at work. I’ve also had moments of jealousy thinking of the girl working at a strip club while at home or working.
It’s sort of natural but it goes both ways. The key is to not take the relationship that seriously. It’s more of a “friends with benefits” type of thing. I’ve also noticed the stripper usually works less when start dating, which can help things out.
However, that can be difficult because it means she needs more money since she’s not working. You have to find a balance if you want to keep things going smoothly, and it’s not always easy.
Just remember, if you start dating a stripper and you want her to stop working at the club, you’re basically telling her you’re going to pay her bills. So be careful.
Strippers Have Shady Guy Friends
I already said that strippers usually only have friends who are also strippers. But that’s just their female friends. Their male friends are usually shady characters, and this can lead to problems.
By problems, I mean the guy can talk the girl into things, such as robbing you, scamming you, or something else.
If you’re dating a stripper, you have to keep an eye out for the guys she hangs out with. I know a few guys who got rolled by a stripper’s male friends. Avoiding this takes a little street smarts.
The best way is to never brag or show off. If you have valuables at your house or store cash there, don’t let her know, or just get hotel rooms instead when you meet up.
The guys that show off and brag are the ones who get rolled the most. It’s also not just while you’re dating the stripper that you have to look out for this.
If you break up and she knows you keep a safe in the house or other valuables, she may tell her next boyfriend and they’ll concoct a scheme to rob you.
Strippers are generally harmless, but the guys they get tangled up with can be criminals and talk them into various robberies and scams.
That’s why I also wrote earlier that you should end these things on good terms if possible. If it gets ugly, there’s a higher chance you’ll be targeted if you make the mistake of showing off or letting the girl know where you store valuables and cash.
Don’t Force It
This goes hand in hand with not starting off as a sugar daddy type of relationship. Dating a stripper only works if it happens organically. You just happen to click with a girl at the club and the next thing you know you meet outside the club.
If you plan it or spend a bunch of money to make it happen, you’re wasting your time and money. You can still do this if you don’t mind and just want to see a specific girl outside the club. Just understand that it’s 100% transactional from that point on.
Times Have Changed…A Lot
In the last few years, the attitudes of strippers and sex workers have really changed. I call it the “Cardi B” effect. Basically, a lot of strippers get into stripping with the sole intention of robbing and scamming. It wasn’t always like this.
The result is that it’s much harder to find a stripper that isn’t just straight-up trying to scam you. These girls also have ties to criminals and low-life guys, so your risk is that much higher.
That’s why I say you have to keep an eye on the company a girl keeps if you plan on seeing her outside the club. Keep your own life secret because she could be looking for victims.
As an example, I started to hang out with one stripper and she seemed totally normal and friendly (at least for a stripper). One day she sent me her email address for a PayPal transaction but the name on the account sounded like a guy’s name.
So I did some searching and found out her boyfriend was wanted for murder and robbery. But they were still together and that was his email and PayPal account!
Thankfully, I noticed that early. But those are the kinds of risks you run into and you have to be street-smart to not get taken or fall into a very sketchy situation.
Should You Date A Stripper?
That’s up to you. On one hand, it can be a wild time, even if it only lasts for a little while. On the other hand, there are major risks and if you don’t have street smarts, you can quickly find yourself in a bad situation.
This is especially true if you’re married. I was always single when I dated a stripper, so there was no real risk and she couldn’t try to ruin me by contacting my wife or anything. If you’re married, there’s almost no way you get away with dating a stripper without your wife finding out.
Overall, dating a stripper is a unique experience. Just make sure to be on your toes and follow the advice above, otherwise you could end up with more than you bargained for.
