This is the one topic about strip clubs that can lead to so many different opinions and answers it’s hard to determine what’s real, what’s fake, and what’s just an urban legend.
It’s the age-old question about what type of activities really go on in a strip club VIP room or private dance area. Is it all just a big tease or can you really have sex with strippers in the VIP room?
Comedian Chris Rock even had a famous bit about “no sex in the Champagne Room”, implying that no matter what a stripper promises you, you won’t get any action in the Champagne Room.
However, that’s not always true.
As a strip club veteran and Vegas native, I’m going to give you the definitive answer in this article about sex in the VIP room or during private dances. It’s not based on rumors or urban legends, but actual events I’ve personally witnessed myself at strip clubs both in Vegas and around the country.
Chris Rock Was Sort of Right…But Just Sort Of
To start, Chris Rock wasn’t completely wrong. A stripper will often say anything to separate you from your money. This includes promises of activities in the VIP room that she won’t deliver on.
A strip club is where the dancer feels comfortable. There is security there and the bouncers will kick out any guy who makes a fuss. So dancers generally have no issue making promises they can’t keep as long as they deliver the number of private dances a customer pays for.
Based on my experience, if a striper immediately makes a promise of “extras” or sex in the VIP room, it’s likely a scam. Dancers who perform extras in the VIP are rarely out in the open about it and they don’t advertise it to every new customer who walks in.
So if a girl just openly offers extras in the VIP and the club is somewhat legitimate, it’s likely a scam to get you to buy more dances than you otherwise would.
But with that being said, Chris Rock was also wrong. There are countless strippers who perform extras in the private dance area, and sometimes out on the club floor. This goes on at all types of strip clubs, including those in Las Vegas.
In the next section, I’ll cover how far things can go with the right stripper and how these things usually go down (no pun intended).
It’s Not About The Money
The biggest misconception when it comes to sex in the VIP is that spending more money gives you a greater chance of getting extras during a private dance.
The truth is, that only matters in extreme cases if you happen to offer a huge sum of money for the girl to risk getting caught.
In 99% of strip clubs, if they have somewhat strict rules on private dance contact, no extra tipping or money spent will change that for the most part. You may get to bend the rules a little. But it won’t shift the scales from a mild dance to full sex in the VIP.
Of course, I’m talking about mainstream strip clubs in major cities such as Las Vegas. In small towns around the country, you can have seedy clubs that have backrooms where all kinds of illegal things go on. But this is about strip clubs like the ones you find in Vegas or other big cities.
I can tell you from personal experience that I’ve been in clubs where I dropped a few thousand dollars and had pretty tame private dances. I’ve also been to Vegas strip clubs where I spent less than $300 and there was some unexpected extracurricular activity in the VIP room that I didn’t even have to ask for.
So there isn’t a direct correlation between the money being spent and extra services in the VIP. It’s really about the right stripper, at the right time, in the right club.
Being in the right club does make a huge difference. The looser the private dance rules, the higher the chance of extras happening.
Like I said before, in clubs with strict private dance rules there is very little chance of extras happening in the VIP unless you know the management or know a dancer from outside the club and she tells you in advance.
Speaking of Vegas, there are clubs in town with VERY loose rules as well as clubs with very strict rules. Knowing these rules greatly increases your chances of getting what you want.
So What Actually Happens In The VIP Room?
Just to dispel any rumors, when extras do take place in the VIP room or the private dance area, they’re almost always done VERY discreetly. If you’re expecting a scene from PornHub to suddenly break out in the VIP, you’re going to be disappointed.
While I have seen some crazy stuff at strip club VIP rooms, I’ve never seen straight-up sex as if people were in a hotel room or adult film set. That just doesn’t happen.
When extras do happen, it’s on the sly and generally involves the stripper on top of the customer to block anything from being easily seen. Another common thing is for the stripper to allow the guy to take out his “member” and then she’ll grind on it while giving the private dance.
Sometimes strippers do this just to get the guy to keep paying for dances. So while it’s a type of extra by definition, it’s also a bit of a tease/scam.
A variation on this is just the girl using her hand once the guy is out of his pants. She’ll generally stay on top to hide the activity. But this is obviously less of a teasing tactic and generally just a straight-up extra. This can also lead to straight up sex in the VIP, but it’s more like sex in the backseat of a car. Don’t expect to try different positions since the stripper will generally just stay on top to keep everything as discreet as possible. Like I said, don’t expect a PornHub scene to break out.
You’ll rarely if ever encounter oral sex in the VIP room no matter what happens. Its just too difficult to hide from cameras or management that happens to be walking by or peeks inside the room.
However, for guys who like to be givers instead of receivers, some dancers will allow a little bit of that activity to be performed on them. This is generally easier to get when it comes to extras, but it’s not for everybody and some guys have no interest, even if it’s offered.
Personally, I have witnessed all of the above at Vegas strip clubs in my years here. So it does 100% happen and doesn’t always require a lot of effort or even a lot of money.
How To Increase Your Chances Of Extras
To start, what I’m talking about here is not prostitution. Whatever two adults agree to do during a private dance is just that, two consenting adults. It may be a violation of the strip club’s policy, but I’m not talking about prostitution here.
With that said, let’s get down to business.
Strip clubs have always been a random place. That’s why when people ask for the “best club in Vegas”, it’s difficult to answer. You can go to the best club one night and have a boring time. But the next night you can run into the perfect stripper and have an amazing night.
Choosing the best club is more about increasing your chances of having a great night. It’s like holding a good poker hand like a straight. You have a higher chance of winning, but it’s not guaranteed.
That’s what this section is about. To give you the best odds of getting the type of night you want, but just understand nothing at a strip club is guaranteed. So don’t force the issue or spend good money after bad.
Picking The Right Girl
This is where most guys screw up. When they go to a strip club they treat it like going to a showroom where they pick the girl they think is the hottest. That makes total sense, but there’s a problem if you’re looking for extras in the VIP room.
The hottest girl isn’t always the one who is down to party or get dirty.
If you’re trying to have a wild private dance, you have to focus on the girl’s attitude and party demeanor more than her looks. Of course,you don’t want to pick a girl you find disgusting to look at.
But it’s about priorities. If a girl you think is hot doesn’t give out signals she will be wild in the VIP room, it’s not going to happen.
Here’s a tip. On any given night at any strip club, there are at least a few girls who are there just to treat it like a party night. 95% are there just to make their quota of money and go home. But there’s always one or two who just want to party that night.
They want free drinks, hang out with fun people, and get wild. Maybe it’s because they had a stressful week, maybe they just broke up with their boyfriend. Whatever it is, there’s always a few of these girls at every big club on every night of the week.
That’s what you want to keep an eye out for. The stripper that’s open to doing shots or ordering a fresh round of drinks. The stripper that’s dancing to almost every song that comes on.
If you’ve ever been to a strip club and saw a stripper with a guy and she’s acting wild, you probably thought he must have spent a ton of money or something. But in reality, he likely just found the “party girl” and her actions would happen regardless of how much he was spending.
Read The Signs
If the girl is already heavily flirting with you on the main floor and grabbing all over between your legs, that can be a good sign. It could also be a trick to get you to think something. But combined with other things, that’s usually a good sign.
If a girl is kind of cold and reserved on the main floor, don’t expect her to become a porn star in the VIP room.
You may get tricked by this once or twice and that’s just the strip club life. But be smart and you can start to spot legitimate signs the stripper is willing to get wild in the VIP room.
Pick The Right Club
Yes, every club is different. They each have different rules for private dances and this has a lot to do with how far things can go once you get back there.
For example, there are clubs in Las Vegas that allow more contact on the main floor of the club than in the VIP area, which seems crazy.
If you don’t know the rules of each club, you are at a big disadvantage.
Obviously, I can’t give out the details of each Vegas club here. They would get in trouble and possibly shut down. Believe it or not, Vegas strip club laws have strict requirements for private dances and contact between the stripper and the customer.

If you don’t want to get the guide, I suggest you start out at the club by only getting one dance to get an idea of the private dance rules for that specific club. Don’t agree to 10 dances only to get back there and realize there’s no touching allowed. Once you agree to a set number of dances, you are struck with that at most clubs.
In Vegas, similar to most modern clubs, you pay for the dances at the entrance of the VIP and a bouncer lets you into the private dance area with the girl. So, once you pay, you’re committed no matter how boring the dances are.
You can always extend things once you’re back there.
Have The Right Attitude
This is a big one and it goes along with the previous tip about finding the right stripper who is in the mood to have a wild time. If you come in with the wrong attitude or are too reserved, the party girl likely won’t want to hang around you.
Be open, friendly, and flirty. That’s what the party girl will gravitate toward. Don’t talk about your job or some other boring topic. Keep things fun and keep the drinks and flirting going.
How To Test The Waters
Once you pick the right club and the right girl, it’s time to find out if you’re a winner or if you’re going to strike out.
This part can go one of two ways. I’ve had times where the stripper completely took the lead and I actually had to slow her down since I didn’t know how far things were about to go. Other times, you have to start slow and sort of test the boundaries a bit to see what kind of reaction you get.
If you have to test the waters, start slow during the first private dance. Move your hands around and see what kind of reaction you get. I won’t go into too much detail here because you should know how to deal with a girl who is dancing in your lap.
The key is to not go too crazy in the first moments. Don’t immediately whip it out or stick your hand somewhere. Getting extras from a stripper is sometimes a delicate balance. She can quickly sour on the whole thing and revert back to just giving a standard private dance if she thinks anything is off or she’s being taken advantage of.
Keep it fun and go with the flow. Read the signs like you would with any girl. If you get a good sign, keep moving things up and see what happens. You will be surprised that if you pick the right girl, she’ll likely let you know what to do next.
I’ve had strippers take my hand and move it down between her legs because she thought I wasn’t being aggressive enough. So sometimes the striper will move things along if you made all the right choices.
A True Story Of Sex In The VIP
I picked this specific story because it’s the most typical scenario when it comes to getting extras in the VIP.
I went to a local strip club here in Vegas around 11 p.m. on a weeknight. It was sort of slow but still had customers at the bar and scattered around the stage. After one drink, I took a seat at the stage to see the rotation of girls and find if any caught my eye.
After one or two girls, a cute redhead got on stage. She had great energy and was immediately flirty. There was only one other guy at the stage and he was barely tipping, so I decided to get the stripper’s attention.
After tipping her for the songs, I told her to come to the bar and grab a drink. That’s the first test. She went backstage for a minute or two and came right to the bar and sat next to me.
We ordered a drink and she still had great energy and was definitely in a good mood. The important thing was she hadn’t even mentioned a private dance yet.
Just a quick tip, if a girl immediately presses for a private dance, it’s likely going to be a pretty standard private dance. Every memorable private dance with extras that I’ve ever had is when the girl doesn’t really mention the private dance until we’ve already been hanging out for a while.
But back to the cute redhead, since the club was slow, she had to go back on stage soon so she went backstage for a bit to get ready. I mingled around a bit and when she danced again, I went back to the stage to tip a little more.
When she was done dancing I just got up and went to the bar without asking her to join me. After a few minutes, she came and met me by the bar without me having to ask, another good sign.
At this point I had already decided I was going to try a private dance. She was giving out all the right signals and I knew that the club had very loose rules in the VIP area.
Even then, I only agreed to two dances and figured if it went well, I would just buy more.
However, once back there she immediately started letting me know that extras were definitely available. During the first dance, she took my hand and put it underneath her g-string. From there things just kept going.
By the time we were finished with our activities, I was back there for at least 7-10 songs and I still had only paid for the first two. I probably could have walked away with only spending that, but I gave her a tip since things got so hot and it was definitely a trip to remember.
The point of this story is to explain how extras with stripers usually go. They almost always happen after you build some kind of connection during the night on the main floor of the club. They also happen without having to really ask.
Once again, if the girl offers extras right away, she’s probably scamming. The longer it takes for her to mention a private dance, the better the chance.
Another thing is you have to know what the private dance rules are at the strip you’re going to. If the club has strict rules, it’s not really worth putting in the time to try to get extras in the VIP if that’s your goal. You’ll just be wasting your time and money on tame lap dances.
Does This Work For Couples?
Yes. Almost all of the same rules and tips apply to couples looking for extras or a wild time in the VIP. One difference with a couple is the stripper may focus on either the wife or the husband.
Depending on what you want as a couple, keep this in mind. If the stripper is more focused on the husband but the wife wants to be with the stripper, it won’t work out how you want.
Some strippers prefer to dance for the husband while the wife watches and some prefer to be with the wife while the husband watches. There are some strippers who don’t care either way, but keep this in mind if you’re a couple and want a specific type of experience for either you or your spouse.
Final Advice & Tips
Overall, I can tell you from real experience that there is sexual activity that goes down in the VIP room of strip clubs. It’s a bit nuanced and it’s never guaranteed, but it happens thousands of times a night in strip clubs around the country, including Las Vegas.
You might not get a scene from a PornHub clip happening in the VIP, but there’s someone in the VIP getting some action well beyond a standard lap dance.
It’s not for everybody and for some guys it may seem like too much work for too little action. But plenty of guys enjoy the adventure of trying to score extras in a strip club from a dancer they just met. It’s a world all its own and it can be a lot of fun if you play your cards right.
